Chandler Padgett

My name is Chandler Padgett and I was born and raised in Columbus, Georgia. I am a double alumnus of Columbus State University (CSU); obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in May 2016 (while playing collegiate softball) and a Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner (MSN, FNP) degree in May 2019. Upon graduation, I began working clinically as a FNP in both the hospital and hospice settings, while concurrently teaching full-time in the Undergraduate Nursing Program at CSU. I obtained a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Georgia State University in May 2022.

I currently serve as an Assistant Nursing Professor in the School of Nursing (SON) at CSU. I taught for four years in the Undergraduate Nursing Program and currently teach in the Graduate Nursing (MSN, FNP) Program. In 2020, I am so grateful to have been awarded Outstanding Teacher at CSU and award recipient of the 2021 CSU Excellence in Teaching Award. In 2023, I was nominated for the Teaching Excellence Award on the University level and humbly received the Honors College Award for Outstanding Mentorship. I currently serve on the University Internal Review Board, Study Abroad Committee, IDEA Committee, College of Education and Health Professions (COEHP) Curriculum Committee, COEHP Graduate Council, COEHP Honors Education Committee, and Chair the Graduate Curriculum Committee at CSU. I am so thankful to have recently been nominated and appointed to serve on the University Strategic Planning Committee. In addition to teaching at CSU full time, I also own Glow Medical Aesthetics and serve as an aesthetics injector.

Within the community, I actively serve as the Executive Vice President of United Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (UAPRN) West Georgia Chapter, as the Legislative Chair for National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP) of Georgia and serve as an active member of both Georgia Nurses Association and American Nurses Association. I am so thankful to serve on both the Local and Regional Board of Family and Children Services by Columbus City Council to serve the Columbus community. Recently, I humbly received the NAPNAP Advocacy Scholar Award and the NAPNAP Grassroots Advocacy Award. I am thankful to have recently graduated from Georgia State University’s Legislative Health Policy Certificate Program.
