Kaaren Johnson Street is a distinguished executive, economic strategist, and corporate governance expert whose forty-year career has been defined by driving organizational growth, fostering economic advancement, and advocating for equitable participation of marginalized groups & individuals. A respected C-suite leader, she has seamlessly bridged large-scale economic impact with mission-driven leadership, notably through her former engagements in the public and private sectors, as well as through her strategic guidance on corporate boards and civic initiatives.

In the boardroom, Johnson Street brings decades of cross-industry insight informed by senior governance and executive roles. Her past chairmanship and board service at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta-Miami Branch involved strengthening oversight, guiding risk management, and supporting forward-looking interest rate policy. Her corporate background includes C-suite leadership roles, such as Vice President at Burger King Corporation, and as a Vice President at Enterprise Florida, Inc. Furthermore, as an entrepreneur herself, she spent more than 10 years building and leading Kaaren Street Associates, a successful management consulting firm specializing in government contracting, business development and e-commerce. This powerful blend of corporate, federal, and entrepreneurial experience makes her a highly regarded board director who offers firsthand expertise in branding, market positioning, and navigating digital transformation.

Throughout her career, Johnson Street has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to economic development, and creating true equity for women, minorities, and communities who have been historically denied full participation. As Associate Deputy Administrator at the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), she provided high-level executive oversight for several key departments, including the Office of Women’s Business Development, Small Business Development Centers, and SCORE. In this role, she championed national initiatives that expanded access to capital and educational programs, directly fueling the growth of women-owned businesses.

Her dedication to advancing women leaders is further reflected in her role as a founder and Past President of the Florida International Women’s Forum, where she helped build a powerful network dedicated to elevating women’s leadership globally.

Today, she continues to bring this passion to her work, advising, serving, and speaking at the intersection of inclusive leadership, economic empowerment, and corporate governance to create sustainable pathways for the next generation of women leaders.

Johnson Street holds a Certificate in Board Governance from Duke University and is a member of the U.S. Government’s Senior Executive Service (SES). She also pursued undergraduate studies in business administration at Nova University and the University of Maryland Global Campus.
