Past and present Members of Georgia Commission on Women, established by the Georgia Legislature in 1992, gather to celebrate their 15th Anniversary on August 15, 2007 at Mary Mac's Tea Room in Atlanta. Of the fifteen commissioners sworn in then, four continue to serve. Thirty seven outstanding Georgia women have served from 1992 - 2007.
Pictured are some of the members, past members, supporters, staff and former staff, elected officials and friends of the Georgia Commission on Women came to the Anniversary Breakfast on August 15th to celebrate the accomplishments of the Commission and its Mission.

John W. Dorsey of Procter & Gamble presented an award to Commission Chair Nellie Dunaway Duke, for her leadership in establishing the Georgia Osteoporosis Initiative and influencing the National Association of Commissions for Women to start the "Healthy Bones" national project.

Former State Representative Grace W. Davis and Commission Chair Nellie Duke congratulate Emily Grigsby, center, for her generous monetary contribution to the Mission of the Georgia Commission on Women.

Honorary spokesperson and "Train Conductor" for the Georgia Osteoporosis Initiative, former Lieutenant Governor Mark Taylor congratulates the Commission on Women for fifteen years of service to Georgia. Taylor was an appointing officer for eight years, re-appointing Commission Chair Duke to another four year term before leaving office this year.

Former Georgia Attorney General Michael Bowers brings greetings as he congratulates the Commission on its 15th Anniversary recalling his support of its programs, including publication of " Women & the Law; A Guide to Women's Legal Rights in Georgia ", published during his tenure and under his supervision. His wife, Bette Rose Bowers, is a current Member of the Commission.
