The Georgia Commission on Women, Georgia Women's Institute and the U.S. Department of Labor's Women's Bureau celebrates International Women's Day on Friday, March 8th, at the Georgia State Capitol at 2:00 p.m.

A delegation from eight Middle Eastern nations visited the offices of Georgia Commission on Women for a spirited discussion on " The Role of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO's) in the Global Empowerment of Women."

On Monday, August 27 at 11:00 AM in celebration of “ Women’s Equality Day” at the Georgia State Capitol the Georgia Commission on Women and the Georgia Women’s Institute will kick off its campaign to establish the Georgia Women’s Center and History Museum.

Georgia Women’s Institute are happy to announce that Chief Justice Carol W. Hunstein of the Supreme Court of Georgia has been chosen as the 2012 Georgia Woman of the Year. On Thursday, August 23, 2012, she will be honored at 103 West Restaurant in Atlanta with a reception and dinner.

Georgia Commission on Women, its partners and supporters, held the fifth annual G.L.O.W. event on March 19, 2008, celebrating Women's History Month by honoring ten Georgia Women past the usual age of retirement who, instead of stopping, stepped up to accomplish outstanding, productive work, making a difference in Georgia!
