Lynn Creech Murphey was appointed in 2004, by Governor Sonny Perdue, to serve on the Georgia Commission on Women. Murphey is employed by
Cox Communications/ Middle Georgia, as Director of Community and Government Relations.
Murphy is a Cum Laude graduate of Mercer University, Macon, Georgia, where she received the Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and Mass Communications. She is a member of Leadership Georgia's Class of 2005. Georgia Trend Magazine named her one of "Forty Under Forty" Most Influential Georgia Citizens, in their October 2004 edition.
Currently serving as Commission Treasurer, she is Vice-Chair of the Committee on Publications, and serves the Education Committee and the Committee on the Status of Women.
Lynn, her husband Clay, and their two children reside in Macon.
