Commissioner Jessica Jones - Executive Director

Click for larger photo of Jessica Jones Jessica Jones is the Executive Director of the Georgia Commission on Women, where she works to advance the legal, social, educational and economic status of women in Georgia. She has worked for the Commission since 1999. Ms. Jones has degrees in English Literature and Gender Studies from Georgia State University. She sits on the board of the Georgia Woman of the Year Committee Inc., and is the Regional Coordinator of Georgia Women's Institute. She is a founding member and Treasurer of the Georgia Osteoporosis Initiative, where she and other members have provided free bone density screenings to over 50,000 people throughout the state and abroad.

She is currently working on the "Safe Georgia" program, traveling throughout the state of Georgia teaching self-defense and safety techniques to women on college campuses and in communities. Jessica is a life-long volunteer and native of Georgia.
